RALPH ENO DOCUMENTS IN FAMILY ARCHIVES Our cousin Janet Bunke of Idaho has generously donated a scrapbook and accompanying documents about her grandfather, the famous 20th century Connecticut artist and sculptor Ralph Eno (1902-1962), to the family archives kept by Paul Eno at his Rhode Island home. Included in the collection are a scrapbook of newspaper cuttings about Ralph and his work, family letters, photographs, and a monograph by Donald B. Coney entitled "The Remarkable Mr. Eno: Carpenter, Carnival Roustabout, Artist of Renown, the Confidante of Grifters and Millionaires." Eno art works still sell at auction for considerable sums. Any member of the family interested in researching Ralph Eno may contact Paul at pauleno@cox.net or (401) 356-1109 to obtain photocopies of pertinent material. Our thanks once again to Cousin Janet! A WEDDING! Our cousin Kristine Eno, daughter of Richard and Doris Eno, married Matthew Friedlander in a lovely seaside ceremony at New Haven, Connecticut's, Lighthouse Point Park on Saturday, September 22, 2007. Photos coming soon! ENOS, BESSETTES JOIN COURTENAY TOUR OF IRELAND Paul and Jackie Eno of Woonsocket, R.I., and Bill and Cindy Eno Bessette of Moosup, Conn., participated in the Courtenay Society Tour of Ireland in October 2006. The tour took a congenial group of about 20 society members from Belfast, through Dublin, and eventually to Limerick, to visit Courtenay-related sites. The Courtenay Society, headed by the Earl of Devon, brings together Courtenay family members and descendants to study and preserve the family heritage and properties, and to establish a sense of kinship among the family's far-flung descendants. Enos of our line are Courtenay descendants several times over. Paul Eno is the new editor of the society's newsletter.
Part of the group poses at St. Patrick's Church, Newry, Northern Ireland. From row, left, are Jackie Eno, and Cindy and Bill Bessette. A far right is Paul Eno.

2008 CEMETERY VISITS: WATCH FOR INFORMATION!
2005 CEMETERY VISITS: A BEAUTIFUL DAY Our annual visits to Eno ancestral cemeteries took us all the way from Moosup, Conn., to Haydenville, Mass., on Saturday, July 30. Six of us (Bill and Cynthia Bessette, Paul and Jackie Eno, and Joe and Lu Wactowski) made all or most of the trip this year, hooking up with cousins Jacky Marek and daughter Jody along the way. Along with decorating many ancestral graves, we had lunch at the Maine Fish Market Restaurant in Windsor Locks, Conn., once again visited a great country store in Haydenville, Mass., and later enjoyed a glass of wine at an out-of-the-way inn in central Mass.! PAUL ENO WORKS WITH HISTORY CHANNEL ON HURRICANE DOCUMENTARY
Paul Eno of Woonsocket, R.I., co-author of the new book Rhode Island: A Genial History (2005), has been working with the History Channel on a documentary about the great New England Hurricane of 1938, which will join the network's fall lineup in the "Wrath of God" series. Above, Paul (left) chats with producer David Garte at one of the taping sites, this one in Quincy, Mass., in July 2005. The two-hour production first aired in fall 2006. Paul also worked with the History Channel on the Rhode Island segment of the series on the history of the 50 states, which has been airing throughout late 2007.
ENOVATIONS 2005 DRAWS OVER 50!
We managed to get most of the crew together for this shot, which includes Enos, Eno descendants, Bessettes, relatives from collateral families and just plain friends. Everyone's welcome and part of the family at Enovations! Enovations, the annual summer family reunion hosted by Bill and Cynthia (Eno) Bessette in Killingly, Connecticut, had an enormous attendance over the July 4, 2005, weekend. Folks came from Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and even Florida for a three-day extravaganza! Saturday's (July 2) venue was the always-welcoming home of Bill and Cindy in Moosup, Conn., where the early arrivals (including Ed and Bette Eno of Ira, Vt.; Walt and Bonnie Eno Keith of Lumberton, N.J.; Lee and Nancy Eno Coplon of Nanuet, N.Y.; Paul, Jackie and Ben Eno of Woonsocket, R.I.; and Jeanne Eno Prastien of Fort Myers, Fla.) caught up on news and enjoyed a magnificent ham dinner cooked by Cindy. On Sunday, the whole crew went to the Bessette summer home at nearby Lake Alexander to help prepare for the big day. Sunday was capped by a visit to the sumptuous buffet at the nearby Mohegan Sun Casino. Monday, July 4, dawned sunny and comfortable. New arrivals trickled in during the day, with ages ranging from our family matriarch, Grandma Eno, who turns 90 this year, to little Kaitlin Cherry, at four months! The weather was glorious, and it snowed food and rained drink. Everyone enjoyed the parade of boats on the lake, and certainly the annual impromptu fireworks display, which including some real boomers from the Bessette dock, courtesy of Marshall! Plan now to attend the annual fall reunion, at the home of Paul and Jackie Eno, Woonsocket, R.I., and the annual winter reunion at the home of Sula Bertrand, Windsor Locks, Conn.
