ANCESTRAL

CEMETERY VISITS 2005

Each spring, a group of Enos, Eno descendants and spouses visits ancestral graves in Connecticut and Massachusetts to decorate, meditate, and -- believe it or not -- have fun, and we have a great time! The trip this year took us from southeastern Connecticut, through the Hartford area and Granby, up through Williamsburg, Mass. Four of us made the first leg of the trip, joined by four more at lunchtime, two of whom completed the rest of the day with us. Along with remembering our blood -- an important thing to do -- we enjoyed each other's company as we always do, had a great lunch, once again visited the Haydenville Country Store, and again capped the day with a glass of wine at the Whateley Inn. It was a beautiful day in our ancestral country.

The Visits were really late this year (usually they're in May) and there were comments that summer was a better time of year. After all, during the 2004 Visits, some of us wore parkas!

Join us next year!
